Sunshine Landscape began doing business in January of 2000 as a full service landscape company. After eighteen years of business, Sunshine Landscape has emerged as one of the premier landscape contractors in the Treasure Valley.
We also provide full scale landscape maintenance services to numerous home owners associations, commercial customers and government agencies as well as some residential customers with a full range of landscape maintenance services. We also provide full scale snow removal services to commercial, religious and government clients. Many of the company’s employees have been with the company since its beginnings and employee turnover at Sunshine is very low. The management team is made up of individuals with exceptional skills, education, and experience in the landscape industry.
The company is a licensed public works contractor in the State of Idaho. Sunshine is also a member of NLPA (National Landscape Professionals Association) as well as INLA (the Idaho Nursery and Landscape Association) and SIMA (Snow & Ice Management Association). The company carries a significant amount of general liability and workers compensation insurance coverage and can be bonded for projects requiring bonding.
Levi Duckett, President
Levi is certified with NLPA as a Certified Landscape Professional as one of only a few in the State of Idaho and is Advanced Certified with Baseline two wire systems. Levi holds a bachelor’s degree from Boise State University in Business Management. He has worked with the company since its inception in 2000. Levi has over eighteen years of hands on landscape experience including grounds maintenance, new commercial construction and renovation projects as well as all aspects of snow & ice management. He has worked in all areas of the company and has had direct responsibility for each aspect of the company’s operations, including multiple years of account management. He is well versed in all aspects of the office operations as well as the field operations. His extensive background in the company enables him to effectively manage all the company’s sales and operations.
Matt Heins, Estimator / PM
Matt has over eight years of landscape experience in grounds maintenance and construction. Matt has a Bachelors degree from Utah State University in Horticulture. He has previous experience with large scale residential renovations, residential installations, and commercial work of all types. He has extensive experience in estimating projects of all types and is responsible at Sunshine for providing quotes on all construction work and working with our builder clients to achieve their vision for their installation. He also serves as a project manager with work in concert with our construction manager to ensure projects are completed on time and up to standard.
Jared Montana, Shop Manager & Safety Coordinator
Jared is a key part of Sunshine as he manages our fleet of vehicles and equipment. Jared has completed the extensive OSHA 30 training, as well as OSHA First Aid/CPR certifications. Jared is responsible for weekly servicing of the maintenance equipment which ensures a quality consistent cut from our mowers. He also works to make sure all equipment and vehicles are efficiently and safely operating as they should be. Jared also serves as our safety coordinator ensuring safety compliance of our fleet. He also provides regular safety training to our team and ensures proper safety guidelines are followed on all our jobsites. Safety is our top priority on every jobsite.
Dean Duckett, Sales
Dean has over forty years of experience in the agriculture, service & construction industries. He also has many years of sales and customer service experience. Dean brings value to Sunshine by building strong relationships of trust with customers. He consistently focuses on adding value for the customer through the services we provide. Dean provides solutions for our customers by listening to their needs and developing creative solutions to their problems. Dean oversees all company sales and manages customer relations to ensure we’re exceeding expectations.
Elaine Duckett, Book keeper
Elaine has worked in book keeping for over forty years in several capacities. She manages all aspects of our books on a daily basis with employee time records, HR, AP and AR.
Sergio Perez, Construction Manager
Sergio has worked with Sunshine for over thirteen years in multiple capacities within the company. He has extensive experience with landscape construction & maintenance. Sergio manages the day to day progress of construction projects working with multiple crews every day. Sergio makes sure projects are getting done on time, safely and per specifications and plans.
Paul Marcott, Maintenance Manager
Paul is a licensed chemical applicator that manages our maintenance division at Sunshine. Paul has extensive experience with all tree, shrub and lawn applications and is very practical and pragmatic in his approach to solving issues and problems that come up. He works with all our maintenance crews to make sure properties are managed correctly and to standards. He also interacts with our customers to ensure needs are being met.
